Indian captain Rohit Sharma got emotional speaking about the head coach Rahul Dravid in the pre-match press conference ahead of his side's first game in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024. Dravid confirmed that T20 World Cup will be his last assignment in charge of the Indian team.
"Quite happy with how things went. Pretty much got what we wanted from the game. Like I said at the toss, it was important to get used to the conditions. New venue, new ground, drop-in pitch, important to get used to it and we managed pretty well," Rohit said after the match.
India won their sole warm-up match ahead of the T20 World Cup against Bangladesh rather comfortably by 60 runs at the Nassau County Stadium in New York. Rishabh Pant was the highest run-getter for India as he smashed a fifty, helping India post a good score of 182 which eventually was enough.
