Instagram is rolling out a new feature that will improve the experience for users who love livestreaming. The newly rolled out feature is called Close Friends on Live. This feature will allow users to limit the viewership of livestreams to just their list of Close Friends. The feature will allow users to add up to three other people to their livestream.?

How can users use this feature??

Instagram proposed that the update would allow users to plan trips, collaborate on homework, or simply catch up. Additionally, influencers were informed that they would have the option to host private livestreams, potentially for a fee.

What other similar features Instagram has introduced in recent months??

Instagram has recently introduced some new features to allow users to connect more privately with close friends and followers. These include the ability to limit the reach of posts and Reels to Close Friends. Additionally, Instagram has added some hidden aspects to the Notes feature, such as the ability to post a video as a note and see confetti animations when wishing a friend a happy birthday in a note.

Furthermore, Instagram has updated the feed to allow users to add music to carousel posts that include videos. This is a new feature as previously, it was only possible to add music to carousels made up of photos.

Meanwhile, Instagram is testing a new type of ad that is non-skippable and may inconvenience users. The Meta-owned platform is experimenting with non-skippable ads in the feed, which they are calling "ad breaks." Some users have noticed these ads, which prevent scrolling past until the ad break finishes.?

A few users have shared screenshots of the ad breaks, indicating that they are a few seconds long. It's unclear if the length of the ads will change before the final rollout.
