Smartphones have become an inseparable part of human life, where everything is being handled by a small handy device, which could also be considered as an extended hand. A recent big update surfaced regarding smartphone addiction and a research report revealed the countries where people are addicted to smartphones across the world. As per the recent study which took place by McGill University regarding smartphone addiction, it was stated that several countries have maximum addiction to smartphones. Also, the list comprises India's name. Here are the details.

McGill University, World of Statistics

Citing the research report of McGill University, World of Statistics has shared a list of countries on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) where people are most prone to smartphone addiction. If we talk about the top 10 countries from the ‘addiction to the smartphone’ list, then it includes:

China
Saudi Arabia
Malaysia
Brazil
South Korea
Iran
Canada
Turkey
Egypt?
Nepal.

Smartphone addiction in India

As per the research report, people in China are presently struggling the most with smartphone addiction. Saudi Arabia is at number 2 in the list, in terms of smartphone use while Malaysia stands in the third position.?

Brazil and South Korea are at 4 and 5 respectively. India has also been named in the list, which stands in the fourth position in terms of smartphone addiction.
